CBNL wins Wireless Backhaul Distinction Award

- CBNL recognized for their breakthrough US platform that is both faster to deploy and almost half the cost for a high capacity licensed link compared to competing technologies

CBNL has today announced that it has won the Seventh Annual Mobility Tech Zone Wireless Backhaul Distinction Award that honors companies who are devoted to innovation as the industry evolves to wireless technologies and infrastructure.

CBNL were named winners in recognition of their breakthrough VectaStar® licensed PMP solution that is faster to deploy and offers up to 50 percent total cost of ownership savings for a high capacity licensed link compared to any other technology on the US market.

VectaStar, which offers up to 13.2Gb/s per hub site, was developed in response to service providers’ requirements for a more cost-effective and scalable platform for LTE backhaul and carrier-grade enterprise access – both rapidly growing market segments.

Since launching in the US in late 2014, carriers and ISPs have been quick to adopt VectaStar.

The solution has already been deployed widely across six states in the 28GHz band, including in New York, Texas and California.

This is soon to be complimented by a new 39GHz millimeter wave variant of VectaStar that will expand coverage of the solution to every major city across the US.

“Recognizing leaders in mobile technologies, TMC is proud to announce CBNL as a recipient of the annual 2015 Mobility Tech Zone Wireless Backhaul Distinction Award," said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC.

"VectaStar has demonstrated innovation and will help shape the face of the quickly evolving industry. It is our pleasure to honor CBNL for their inspiring work.”

 CBNL's CEO added:

“We’re delighted to win this prestigious award that recognizes a year where we’ve seen phenomenal uptake of our 28GHz VectaStar solution across the US.

"By developing licensed PMP technology that complements widely available spectrum, we’ve offered service providers a transformational business case to expand next generation services - whether LTE backhaul, small cells or enterprise access.

"By increasing our frequency support to cover 39GHz in 2016, we look forward to supporting more service providers across the US with the highly profitable carrier-grade networks their businesses demand.”

This accolade marks a successful year for CBNL who were also recently named winners at the Telecom.com awards and finalists at the Broadband World Forum Awards.

CBNL serves more than 100 communication providers across 46 counties, including seven of the world’s largest top ten operators.
