To provide technical expertise and customer facing support for the sales team
The Technical Solutions Engineer will join a globally dispersed team of technical solutions specialists working under the direction of the Senior Technical Consultant. The role is to work closely with the regional sales directors, sales and account management staff and engage with customers to develop and close business opportunities. The role will concentrate on customers in North and South America but flexibility to travel globally is required.
Duties will include pre-sales system & network engineering, technical demonstrations, Access and Backhaul RF planning and the preparation of technical proposals during RFI/Q, tender and bid processes. The position will involve frequent travel.
You will have telecommunications network engineering and / or computer networking background with a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience with access or backhaul network technology and network sub-systems, gained from an equipment vendor, system integrator, or mobile operator environments.
You should have analytical and creative thinking skills, with an ability to provide pragmatic solutions to customer requirements, together with a professional sales behaviour and good written/oral and strong presentation skills.
